Wall Industries Announces New Constant Voltage DC/DC Converters up to 45 Watts
CV Series
Single Outputs
Exeter, NH, February 18, 2011 – Wall Industries, Inc. broadens its product offering with the new CV series of constant voltage non-isolated DC/DC converters. This series can deliver up to 3A of output current in a small open frame package. These converters have output power ranging from 1.8 to 45 Watts and operate over input voltage ranges of 2.5-5.5, 4.5-14, and 10-30VDC. This series also provides non-regulated single outputs of 5, 12, and 24VDC. Standard features include efficiency up to 95%, remote ON/OFF, and adjustable output voltage. All models in the CV series are RoHS compliant and have UL60950-1, EN60950-1, and IEC60950-1 safety approvals.
The CV series of non-isolated DC/DC power converters have no minimum load requirements and operate over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (with derating). This series has both vertical and horizontal SIP mounting configurations available. 5V and 12V models are 0.37” x 0.24“ x 0.61” in size and have a weight of 0.06oz and the 24V models are 0.41” x 0.24” x 0.65” in size and weigh only 0.074oz. These converters have a MTBF rating of 6,250,000 hours using Bellcore TR-NWT-000332 and 1,638,000 hours using MIL-HDBK-217F. These converters are also protected against over current, over temperature, and short circuit conditions. The CV series is ideal for a wide range of applications some of which include wireless networks, telecom/datacom, industry control systems, semiconductor equipment, distributed power architectures, and microprocessor power applications.
