Client

This client deals with the treatment and chlorination of commercial water applications, specifically commercial pools and water parks.

They provide salt water chlorination for many water applications including swimming pools and water treatment facilities. Due to the success they had with the Wall custom power supply solution they are now pursuing new markets.

Challenge

This water purification and chlorination application for commercial installations required a power supply that could hold up under the demanding corrosive and high vibration environment of large commercial pools.

The clients existing linear power supplies were very reliable, but they were looking for a more efficient switch mode power supply that wasn’t readily available. They reached out to Wall Industries to design a reliable power supply that would be more efficient and cost effective.

Solution

Wall’s engineering team worked closely with the client’s team to develop a custom power supply solution that would work with their unique environment. Wall took the product designs from large, very heavy linear power supplies to custom-designed, switching power supplies. We were able to create a high-powered N+1 parallelable version that allows customization to meet almost any client need. The updated designs met or exceeded all client requirements for size, weight and power supply efficiency.
