This client specializes in surveillance devices for the general public and small businesses providing systems that are easy to install for the novice or professional installer.

Their camera and systems do not require a security service, rather can be self monitored via a private network or over the Internet. These hidden cameras can be found in stuffed animals (nanny cam), clock radios, smoke detectors, wall clocks, pens and many other devices.

Their competition is the Chinese manufacturer who provides low production cost and unfortunately, low video quality. For surveillance, quality is everything. Our client provides high quality, easy‐to‐install hidden cameras for a variety of surveillance applications and their devices are manufactured and tested in the USA.

Challenge

The client needed a custom power supply for a small camera that is used in applications such as nanny cams which are hidden inside teddy bears, in addition to other applications like the clock radio cam, the smoke alarm cam, and the commercial hidden cam.

Primarily, these cameras are used for industrial security, keeping employees safe in their work environments.

The power supply had to be small and compact with a very fast delivery schedule.

Solution

Wall Industries reviewed the client’s specification and tailored a power supply that would fit the form factor for their standard surveillance module.

The nanny cam that looks like a teddy bear can be ordered over the Internet by families and is distributed through Internet retailers. Wall Industries plays a part in keeping children and pets safe.
