POL converters offer adjustable output - June 2004
Operating at an efficiency as high as 94%, the ML Series of 16.5-W point-of-load dc/dc converters accepts from 3.0 to 5.5 V and provides an adjustable output from 0.75 to 3.63 V via an on-board resistor. Once again broadening its product offering, Wall Industries, Inc. of Exeter, NH announces a new line of surface mount dc/dc converters. The LANC-SMD line of converters offer a direct current input range of 5 through 75Vin (2:1 and 4:1). The series has outputs of 3.3Vout and single and dual outputs of 5,12 and 15Vout. Other features include tight line and load, continuous over-current protection, isolation voltage up to 1.6kvdc, wide operating temperature range, and remote on/off (8 watt models only). These units have a small package size of 1.25" x 0.8" x 0.4". Prices range in OEM quantities from $9.95 to $15.80 depending on output power.
