THE DISTRIBUTED-POWER OPEN STANDARDS ALLIANCE ADDS
WALL INDUSTRIES AS ITS NEWEST MEMBER

Exeter, NH, August 11, 2005 - - The Distributed-power Open Standards Alliance (DOSA) is pleased to announce that Wall Industries, a leading power supply manufacturer, has joined the industry alliance. DOSA was established in February 2004 to develop standards for DC-DC converters to ensure compatibility and facilitate second sourcing for customers. Alliance membership includes Tyco Electronics Power Systems, Inc., SynQor, Inc., C&D, Delta, Lambda, Ericsson, and Artesyn.

“Our entry into DOSA is an exciting milestone for Wall Industries’ Board Mounted Power effort”, said John Regan, General Manager of Wall Industries. “We are looking forward to collaborating with other leading-edge power supply manufacturers in the development of compatible and competitive products that not only better serves our customers’ current needs, but assist their future application requirements as well.”

Founded by Tyco Electronics and SynQor, DOSA carries the mission to establish standards over a broad range of power converter form factors, footprints, feature sets and functionality for both non-isolated point-of-load (POL) and isolated applications.

“DOSA welcomes Wall Industries, as their expertise and participation will enhance DOSA’s ability to better serve customers,” said Sabi Varma, vice president, marketing and R&D at Tyco Electronics Power Systems. “The greater benefits we are bringing to our customers will propel the industry forward.”

“Wall Industries will help contribute to the establishment of new standards for board mounted power products,” stated Joseph Coupal, executive vice president, marketing and sales at SynQor.  “We are very pleased to count on their support and expertise to advance the goals of DOSA.”

For more information on DOSA, visit its web site at http://www.dosapower.com.  DOSA has established the site to provide information on DOSA standards developed for the power conversion market.

ABOUT DOSA

The Distributed-power Open Standards Alliance (DOSA) was formed to ensure future DC-DC product compatibility and standardization within the increasingly fragmented power converter business. The goal of the alliance is to establish customer interface standards early in the development cycle, which include form factors, footprints, pin-outs, feature sets and other parameters that will permit alternative sourcing. The alliance will cover a broad range of power converters including non-isolated (POL), isolated applications, and intermediate bus converters.
