WALL INDUSTRIES LAUNCHES THE LV SERIES OF MODIFIABLE LOW VOLTAGE INPUT HALF-BRICK DC/DC CONVERTERS

Exeter, NH, February 4, 2005- - Wall Industries, Incorporated announces the release of the LV series of half-brick dc/dc converters. The series is designed for use in a broad range of applications that require a nominal 12 or 24Vin. These converters are particularly well suited for use in 12V and 24V battery applications, intermediate and distributed bus architectures, telecommunications equipment, network (LANs/WANs) equipment and powering next generation low voltage, high current microprocessors and ICs. As specialists in modified standard and customized power solutions, Wall Industries is also capable of rapidly customizing the LV series to meet specific customer needs.

 

The LV series of dc/dc converters features a wide range, low dc input of 10-30Vin. The converters can be configured to provide output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24, 26 and 28Vout. Each LV converter produces up to 150 watts and 20 amps of output current at 3.3 and 5Vout with efficiencies of up to 88%.

 

Additional features of the LV series include tight line and load regulation, short circuit protection, fast transient response and input/output isolation of 1500VDC. Designed with an operating temperature range of -40º to +100ºC and six-sided shielding, the LV series comes standard with remote sense, trim to 10%, case ground pin, remote on/off and a "key" pin. If required, these converters are mechanically designed to attach a heat sink, and are housed in the industry standard half brick size of 2.28" x 2.40" x 0.50" high.
