Definition: Responsible for generating, supervising, directing, coordinating and implementing the Sales Plan, within a designated region. Overseeing related personnel in the Sales department. Make effective and efficient use of all resources including personnel and materials. Properly structure the Sales department in order to achieve optimum results, and provide excellent customer service. Establish goals and objectives in line with meeting the booking and shipment goals.
Examples of Typical Activities: Direct, instruct and assist subordinates as to schedules, methods of work performance and other matters affecting their work. Insure that approved processes are utilized along with the designated established procedures. Evaluate employee performance and promotions. Consult management and make recommendations as to other personnel and or operational matters affecting area of responsibility. Follow progress of work anticipated and investigate causes of delay or inadequate performance. Take corrective action within limits of established practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Power supplies and their applications. The ability to interface with Engineering on new, custom and special product. Manage a sales force of inside regional managers and outside representatives. Hiring and training Manufacturing Representatives in power supply sales. Identify new products to meet customer requirements. The ability to generate opportunities for future bookings.
Responsible for the design generation of power supplies inception to final product. Design from documentation supplied by customers and or internal specification.
Responsible for generating preliminary documentation for fabrication of prototype models. May include fabricating, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing analog and digital/analog circuits. Testing will include subjecting product model, whether actual or prototype (breadboard), to environmental conditions in order to establish operational stability, reliability, and conformity to design. Prototyping would also include recommending and designing fixtures, tooling and equipment for the manufacture of product within manufacturing. Four year degree in electronics with 5 years experience or equivalent experience in design of Power Conversion Circuits with emphasis on DC-DC Converters.
Must be completely familiar with the following: advanced analog design techniques including magnetic design and theory, power supply layout and packaging including verification of CAD generated documentation, power applications, and interpretation of system power specification, component engineering including stress factor analysis, manufacturing techniques related to power supply manufacture.
Definition: Developing, fabricating, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing analog, and digital and analog circuits from preliminary Engineering Documentation. All work will be performed utilizing customer and/or Engineering Product Specifications.
Examples of Typical Activities: Testing will include subjecting product models whether actual or prototype (breadboard) to environmental conditions in order to establish operational stability, reliability and conformity to design. Work will be performed using oscilloscopes, voltage meters, electronic loads, bench top power supplies, variacs, test fixtures, environmental ovens and other electronic associated equipment. Prototyping would also include recommending designing and possibly fabricating fixtures, tools, tooling and equipment for the manufacturing of product. Generate instructional information for product being transferred from engineering to manufacturing.
Make effective, and efficient use of all resources including but not limited to inventory materials, supplies, and tools and tooling equipment. Consult supervision when unusual conditions exist or safety issues arise.
Maintain necessary records, files and reports to immediate supervisor. Practice good housekeeping in your area. Properly maintain equipment in good working order to include reporting uncalibrated equipment. Follow established company rules and regulations.
Perform other related duties as required or directed.
